For far too long we have watched the bold actions of precious metal advocates go undefended as they attack those of us who choose to use government provided paper money/currencies. This must change!
For thousands of years individuals have relied on the money provided by trustworthy Governments engaging in sensible monetary policy and today is no different as billions of people transact in the numerous paper currencies provided by their respective Central Banks each day.
Until 10 years ago paper money was relatively unquestioned as a reputable unit of exchange, but a small group of individuals have gone on the attack, proposing that barbarous relics such as Gold and Silver be used in it's place.
So collected have these individuals come that they have formed armies (such as the Silver Liberation Army) and other concentrated collectives in order to manipulate the price of precious metals higher and to instill doubt in the minds of those whose confidence resides in legitimate paper money.
As an individual who has had enough of such tactics, I am taking a stand and will look to unveil the many tactics used by the manipulators to make their worthless metals more attractive to the greater masses.
This blog will act as a shield to protect against the unjust attacks of the precious metals manipulators, whose who seek to destroy the Paper Money world we live in. These attackers are nothing but financial terrorists and we need to be every alert to their growing presence online and elsewhere. They flood the internet with their propaganda, but enough is enough...
I am defender of the majority's money of choice (Paper Money!). I am a Paper Money advocate and will shield Paper Money from the disingenuous attacks of precious metal advocates.
I am the Paper Money Shield!

This blog is just too damn good! But tell me, are you an advocate of physical paper or paper paper?
ReplyDeleteWhile credit/electronic paper has it's uses, I am definitely a much greater fan of physical paper. There's nothing quite like the smell and touch of a crisp new note.
DeleteYou do need to be careful holding physical paper though (to protect from theft). I generally hide my paper notes in a wheelbarrow in the shed (who would think to check there), while leaving Gold and Silver coins around the house... that way if anyone ever breaks in they will steal the useless metals and won't think to look for my valuable paper!
Dear PMS:
DeleteYou convinced me. I want to donate all my hoarded precious metals to pay down the national debt. But that US Treasury link you provided will not even accept my metals. Heck, they even accept credit cards but not my hoard. Please advise on how best to proceed.
Good question Marks!
DeleteYou could try swapping your worthless metal at a bullion dealer in exchange for valuable paper money to send, but I wouldn't leave it too long! It's a well known fact that many dealers didn't offer full spot price at the peak of the 1980 bubble for physical metal and no doubt it will be the same this time (and we must be close if not at the peak of the current bubble).
Another option to consider... you could change all your metal into American gold or silver eagles (which are legal tender, so could be used to pay down the debt at their face value) and then mail them to the address designated for cheques:
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/resources/faq/faq_publicdebt.htm#DebtFinance
If you don't include a return shipping address on the parcel and they won't be able to send it back.
Alternatively I am still after some more decoys for around my house (as described above), I'll donate $10 to the US Treasury on your behalf if you send me everything you have.
Dear PMS:
DeleteI currently use a 100 oz silver bar as a door jam that has yet to be stolen. Was thinking about selling it and replacing it with a wad of freshly minted $100 Trillion Zimbabwe notes:
http://tinyurl.com/9mjds9y
But after reading your comments, maybe I should just keep the silver bar jam, and load this wad of freshly minted cash in the wheelbarrow in the shed. Please help!
Marks, it looks like you don't need my help. The solution you've devised sounds perfect. Well done my paper money loving comrade in arms!
DeleteDear PMS:
DeleteGreat, thanks for your help. Now I can get rid of my $5,000 Ultrasonic Flaw Detector since Tungsten in my gold hoard is no longer an issue. One advantage of physical paper is you no longer have to worry about Tungsten chunks mucking up one's pristine paper!!
Also, I was wondering if I decide to keep the silver door jam and a few gold coins, is there some type of air freshner or perfume I can use to get that freshly printed paper smell on these barbarous relics? Please advise.
Finally, what physical paper do you think best? My preference is a currency that has no gold backing and no gold mining within the country. That way, when gold inevitably falls to its $0 intrinsic value, my physical paper currency will not be impacted!! That appears to rule out the US$, Euro, Aussie$, etc. So what paper currency do you think best, preferably one with pretty color pictures! Thanks for any help in this regard. Maybe you should start a FAQ page to help others out.
The FAQ page is a good idea Marks, definitely something I will consider when I have time. As for favourite paper currency, it's such a hard choice, but I have to go with the country which has the largest industry to support the printing presses (China, followed closely by USA):

I prefer the ozone-y fresh smell of crisp government-backed ELECTRONS. Down with barbarous antiquated paper and ink! Pull out all the stops, so everyone can be a millionaire!!
ReplyDeletePMS, What am I a gunna doo?
ReplyDeleteAfta beinga convinced dat da munny was safer ina da bank, I hocked me old lady's gold jewellery. Aransacked me kids da moneybox. Unrolled my toilet rolls of newa crispa one dolla notes and left the ink to a dry. Even sold moy Foodastamps on ebay.
Nowa whicha bank do i a pud all a mya new founda wealth in?
Youa guessed it.
Laiki Bank (CYPRUS)
They won'ta give ita back to me.

Ouch!
Itsa painfull.
Cheers
So unfortunate my paper money brother. Hold physical paper for the safest possible solution. No way for the banks to destroy that wealth!
